The collection contains correspondence of the party's national leadership; material from various Libertarian election campaigns including correspondence, contribution files, reports and newsletters; national office files; Federal Election Commission correspondence and reports; issues of "Libertarian Party News" and "Common Sense"; pledge cards for Ed Clark; financial records; vendor files; personnel records; membership records; photographs; and newsclippings. Most of the material pertains to the presidential election of 1980, and state elections in 1982. Of interest is a folder on Ronald Reagan's positions. Correspondents include national director Eric O'Keefe.

Ronald Wilson Reagan (1911-2004) was the 40th President of the United States and served two terms in office from 1981 to 1989.
